Kris Lau, MA, MHP, GMHS, LMHC
An experienced Behavioral Health Director, Manager, Clinical Supervisor and Clinician, Kris is a proven client focused, results, goal and mission driven clinical leader. She brings an extensive background in behavioral health and social services program design, development, implementation and evaluation, strong team leadership, development and support, budgeting and financial management, grant writing, grant management, evaluation and reporting, as well as a commitment to both growth and sustainability to her consulting work for behavioral health and social service programs.
Kris is a strong communicator and negotiator who brings a wealth of organizational systems, policy development and implementation experience as well as a passionate commitment to quality assurance and systems, cross-department cooperation, learning and support.
Her passion is working with older adults, their families, caregivers, support systems and organizations committed to the ongoing wellness of this population. She is a credentialed Geriatric Mental Health Specialist and Mental Health Specialist in the State of Washington and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling from City University of Seattle.
A life-long learner who seeks out opportunities to expand and continue her education Kris is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology and is an active member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association - including the Washington chapter – the American Psychology Association, the American Counselors Association and the International Society for Mental Health Online. Kris maintains a strong interest in utilizing technology as a tool to support mental wellness.
